ดงดอน- forest or jungle on high ground or low hills;

ดงดาน- a dense, extensive (as where the foliage is so thick the sun does not shine through); ดงดึก- a forest that is dense and impenetrable.

เขาท่องเที่ยวเข้าไปในป่าดงดิบ He travelled into the virgin forest.

บ้านของเขาตั้งอยู่ท่ามกลางดงกุหลาบ His house stood in the middle of a thicket of roses. เขาไม่รู้หรอกว่าสถานที่นั้นเป็นดงโขมย He does not know that the place is a thief's haunt.
